About Webesi

Webesi was born from real experience in Kenyan schools. Our founder, Titus Tum, has walked the corridors of education from both sides — as a teacher and as a developer who saw firsthand the challenges schools face.

After completing Form Four in 2016, Titus started teaching at a primary school before pursuing his BSc. in Computer Science. During an internship at the Ministry of Education (Emgwen Subcounty), he built a student ranking system that ranked over 1,000 Class 8 students across Chepkumia Ward — something teachers had never seen before.

The breakthrough came when, as a TVET trainer at Tetu TVC, he implemented a college website that increased online applications from 0 to over 100 students. This site became a game-changer for the institution, demonstrating the power of digital solutions in education.

That moment confirmed what Titus had observed: Kenyan schools have real problems — admission, examination, and finance are still done on paper in most ECDE, primary, junior and senior secondary schools. Secondary schools face these challenges plus library management, discipline, health, and co-curricular activities.

Webesi exists to close this gap. We're not just building software — we're championing digital transformation in Kenyan education from the ground up.
